Earning Fees

Covestor is a free network to allow self-directed investors to benefit from each others investment decisions. However over time, as participants build their reputations, we will enable members to build an income as ‘Followers’ track their activity.

You decide: free or fee?

When Covestor offers compensated trade-sharing, you can decide whether you want to earn fees and limit access to your activity, or keep freely sharing your trades and establishing your reputation without charge.

Paid trade sharing

If you elect to be paid, others will only be able to track you if they invest in a managed account that will make investments informed by your data feed. Covestor will open standard managed brokerage accounts in the name of each follower that chooses to continue to track you, called “Managed Tracking Accounts”.

Each Managed Tracking Account will be managed by a regulated investment manager within the appropriate jurisdiction of the follower, who will automatically execute trades on their behalf. You will receive a data fee for each follower using your data stream to inform his or her Managed Tracking Account.
