Covestor Rankings

Just as professionals are ranked against a peer universe, Covestor shows members sharing portfolios their account rankings among all members. Rankings are a way for you to benchmark your performance, and an important means of enabling other members to find you.

At Covestor we apply institutional grade performance and risk calculations to the portfolios of individual investors. The formulae were developed in partnership with the finance department at Columbia University. As mutual funds do, we apply mark to market pricing to calculate daily portfolio performance. The rankings are based on these.

Members are ranked on a range of dimensions, including:

• Aggregate performance - by period, portfolio type and risk

• Commentary and ratings

• Performance in specific stocks and sectors

• Portfolio following

Rankings enhance visibility

The higher you are ranked the more coverage you get on the website. For example, when members search for a specific stock they see a listing of the best Covestor members holding that stock and the best returns in the stock.
