saw your LNET trade....I know them real well. I am on BOD for PDI COMM INC...in same industry as LNET. About 5 months ago rumor was they were going obey won kanobee....Out of business. I know this for a fact because we have 300 satellite dealers under our DIRECTV umbrella who are sending us business from the same hotel chains that used to work exclusively w them. In other words they are losing market share.Their business model of giving away thousands of dollars of material to the hotel chains for free got them in the door to get the in room PPV business however it almost sunk their un profitable ship. Plus PPV has been a proven loser non money maker in the hotel space. Where they made all their money is porn from the business traveler and now that you can get porn in two seconds with your lap top and high speed connection who needs their lame edited porn offering? That being said they still have a very decent presense in the hotel space...and they have branched into high speed and phone etc etc...That being said your play to get in and out of your LNET trade may prove to be prudent move because this has moved up too far too fast. Hey Tim I was wondering if you could give me some advice on a stock i've been watching called EAU technologies ( EAUI.OB) They license out a very trendy consumer beverage but yesterday they posted news of recieving a patent for their water tech that can be applied to mold remediation without using any toxic chemicals and is more effective. I think its definately worth a look, they are building a business model and partnering up with an industry leader so they can roll out new products DOW? or DUPONT maybe? Its a 60 cent stock, and i've seen people with my own eyes use their products, thanks Close

Also, are u much less active of a trader now than you were in college? tim, i am looking at P+F charts for most of these plays, MXC currently has a target PO of $144, how is this possible, even with an unbelievable breakout, isn't this company a fluke, just because the shares are not as much available or not enough dilution, what is this small float crap i keep hearing and how can we profit from it? Tim - Your latest blog post is top notch. Our investing styles are from different planets but I agree with the thoughts you expressed in this post 100%. As investors, we are all playing the percentages. If your stock selection process is thorough and you stick with it, you should beat the benchmarks over time. Also, I think Katsenelson has made the correct market call in suggesting that we are in a range bound market.

Tim - I'm a big fan of Wall Street Warriors, your trading philosophy, and the idea of young individuals (I'm 25) taking control of their own financial futures. I'm working in mortgaged backed securities trading (back office) for Fannie Mae and want to exposure myself to as much as possible. What are your thoughts on riding moment swings on stocks priced under $10 during the time between the announcement of a merger and the actually merger coming to fruition? It would seems to reduce the overall risk of losing money and allow for moderate gains.
Best Regards, Mark mark.d.swanson@gmail.com P.S. - Can I come work for you and learn the ropes? I think interviewing with you would be an interesting experience in itself. Close |

The video of your COINZ trade is a classic. Wish I could of had video of mine on the long side. I bought at $8.45 on Friday and had just entered a sell order at 9.25 monday morning when I hear Mark Haines mention COIN in the background...I was in complete panic mode trying to cancel the order and did somehow. Although I sold way too early 11.25. I was able to make 2/share on the short side as well. Thanks for doing the book and dvd. I made 15K on COIN this week and couldn't have done it without it! Close

Hey Tim, I just started tracking you a few days back. I bought 10,000 NG Friday morning, after seeing you had bought it recently, @10.55 and sold for a nice profit later @ 11.72. I got notification you sold @ 10.50 during the day Friday and it kinda spooked me, not knowing too much about company. I bought as a short term safe haven trade in the market gloom of Friday and it worked out nicely for me that day. Curious about your quick sale of NG? Close
