I never had biotech stock in portfolio. Recently I saw a recommendation for DNA. The stock is at 68 and analyst recommends it to goto 85. Charts show almost a bottom. I'm going to pick up some min order quantity (MOQ) of this stock.

Sprint

Holding Rationale for S.

I'm a believer in stock screener. In a recent stock screen, I realized S has gone down significantly and there could be a reflection point. Hence I picked up my min order quantity ($5000) of S and so far it doing good. I had a limit to sell of 9.90 but after recent news, I have moved the limit to 11. I think this has a potential.

UPDATE: After recent events, I realized I made my target 25+% out of the stock and there might not be a buyout by Tmobile. I dont have anymore use of this. Since I can use some short gains for the losses I had earlier in the year, I sold the stock at 9.60

Finance Stocks

Holding Rationale for LEHMQ.

I think most finance sticks have hit a bottom so its a good time to buy some. I've picked up GS, LEH and XLF options, which are already up a little. Target to sell these is at 25% gains. I might stick till they loose 10-15% range but not more.

Update: I am already loosing 9+% on LEH. I am going to sell it soon.

China

Holding Rationale for FXI.

Most of my China stocks dipped upto -50% but I am believer in China story as I have always said and my stocks are back in -10 to -20% range. I am going to wait till end of the year and Olympics to pass before I sell off.

Apple

Holding Rationale for AAPL.

I have a theory that a company can grow big only to a limit. As of today the market caps are as follows

AAPL 164 B

IBM 168 B

MSFT 276 B

GOOG 183 B

HPQ 119 B

Dell 39 B

Now as I see it, AAPL is close to an upper ceiling touching GOOG and IBM, unless you see it coming close to MSFT. Last time I missed a big opportunity when I broke a rule and modified my 198$ limit to sell the stock and did not sell. This time I have set the limit at 209 and I am not touching it. I have made enough money to pay for few macbooks and will wait for next dip to buy after I sell.

India Fund

Holding Rationale for IFN.

I am from India and I have opportunity to goto India every year couple of times. Last time I was in India in Jan 2008, the business was booming. In my interviews with PE guys, the deals are going strong. People are making more and more money. My friends are earning more than double of what I earned 5 years back there. All the good signs for an increasing boom... consumer demand is not going down. So stay with this stock. In addition IFN pays good dividend so I am going with this and maybe pick up some more  it dips next time.
