I've been meaning to pick up Amazon for a while now.  More than ever I use these guys for shopping and more recently for software development and mp3 downloads.  I've noticed both myself and people I know spending more time interacting with their system.  From a software development standpoint the web services they are providing are really a life saver.  The stuff is clean and smart.  Gives you what you need without a lot of "enterprise" class bullshit.  It allows me to develop things that would normally take a large team on my own since I don't need people to engineer redundancy, administer servers or buy hardware.

As I've used their software services (S3 and EC2) I've gained a lot of respect for these guys.  They are really branching out into some interesting areas and I feel they impress me more now than they did in the past when they had a higher price so I'm buying.
