Investment Style

For my nonretirment portfolio, I tend to focus on mid to large cap stocks that are at attractive prices with the intention that I will hold them at least up to a year. First, that will minimize taxes when I take profit. Second, those companies are better equip to weather the fluctuations in the market.

For my retirement portfolio, I am willing to look at smaller cap stocks or companies that are in more cylical industries because I don't have to worry about the tax consequences of selling a stock before one year.
