Start Of Something New
Now that we have this great new functionality I am going to start posting properly about my investment activity
At the moment I am largely long in EBAY and am just sitting watching it continuously go down. The bad news seems a bit endess and new management doesn't seem to be impressing the analysts.
Have also depressingly been watching ETFC since its low point a few days ago. Advised one of our colleagues to exit his postion at 2.76, as many members on the site were shorting, and now the stock is trading above 4 dollars.
I am out of my mutual funds and mostly just sitting in cash right now. Desperate for new ideas to recoup some of the losses -any thought of where to look v welcome...

The new functionality is fabulous! You are really buildig a community block by block.
BTW, I got too cocky after getting interviewed by the AP reporter, and thought I might just have that Midas Touch :). Bought some Dover (DOV), actually a LOT of Dover lol, as the market was bouncing with the 1/2 point cut. If the market had acted as I thought it should (!), well, it wouldn't have turned around and plunged mid-day.
With DOV heading south, I bailed as I am still using margin and don't need to violate every single one of my trading rules.
In regards to eBay and other stocks you are watching descend, I would suggest you consider setting limits on each of your holdings, whether automatic or 'mental', and step aside as they dip. Let someone else hold them as they drop.
What to buy? I guess you could read my blog :).
Thanks and it is a real pleasure to participate on Covestor!

You really have been fantastic. I had always half suspected that reading your blog would help me/
Setting limits on the holdings is a great idea. A lot of it is about discipline but i tend to prioritise greed for some reason...:-)
Thanks again - Really sorry to hear about your DOV trade - I think the key for anyone reading my posts is just to bet against me...
