How Petro_Drlg_Eng Got Started

Began investing via company 401K after college. Slowly started cash trading account and invested in individual stocks based on information from friends, etc.

First big win/loss was SYNM. Bought low, watched in fascination as it ran way up, but then was trying to follow Buy-Hold for retirement. IRA went from $86k up to $290k in less than two years. BUT then came back down with concentrated stock position to $35k! Humm, losing +$250k in one account isn't on the plan. i.e. LIFE is what happens while you are planning something else.
