New York, New York
On Tuesday, I will be flying to New York City with my Dad and cousin Peter, and will later meet my Uncle Mark from Pittsburgh. Our purpose for the trip, besides just getting away, is to see Yankee Stadium one last time before they tear it down at the end of this season. We will also be attending a New York Mets game, so I will get to see Shea Stadium for the first (and last) time as well.
I traveled to New York City in June of 2003 with my Dad and sister and was lucky enough to see a Yankee game then. Although I am not a fan of the Yankees, it was a very cool experience. The city itself is unique. Despite Chicago’s large size, it pales in comparison to the size of NYC. Much like Chicago, however, you can feel the city’s history and diversity when you walk through the streets.
I’ll try to take some good pictures with my iPhone and post them here. Until then, I hope everyone has a good week.
