Apple didn’t get movies quite right

I haven’t posted in a while. I know. I’ll just summon up the usual excuse. Busy with Covestor and all my other activities.

It matters little.

I have spent the entire day with my headphones plugged in my ears tightly and ignoring everybody else because I really wanted to watch Steve Job’s keynote without spoilers.

I’m now at his third point. He gracefully admitted that apple missed the mark with the Apple TV and so did everybody else. Now he’s pompously announced movie rentals on iTunes and an improved Apple TV.

I love films and watch as many as I can every single day, and being able to rent them from iTunes is something I’ve been really looking forward to.

What a let down.
I ain’t paying $3/4 (or whatever it is when it launches in the UK) for every film. I’d much rather pay a flat fee of $30, or even more for that matters, every month to be able to rent as many films as I want whenever I want on the same conditions: 30 days to start watching it and 24h to finish it.

Underwhelming to say the least. Now let me get back to the keynote because I’m expecting fireworks for item number four!

Take it easy

Update: Oh yeah, the MacBook air is a bloody miracle
