Goldman Sachs [GS]
Holding Rationale for GS.
This is the best financial services firm out there with the least exposure to subprime related securities. It's trading at vlautions in line with other investment banks and is still 25% below its 52wk high.
Plus, they consistently recruit the brightest talent available (quite a few of my friends work there) and I expect them to attract more business since they held up so well during the subprime fiasco.
Also, a low interest rate environment is a big positive for investment banks and once liquidity stabilizes a bit, GS should return to previous levels of profitablity.
