Banks
Holding Rationale for BAC.
All though, today was a very volatile day, the stocks held composure. The banking sector which is the one that has the more weight in my portfolio, got hammered courtesy of President Obama aka (Hugo Chavez 2) on his retaliation from losing the mass election, it is a sign of desperation, later on the day, barney f. came out on cnbc, to finally calm the markets a little bit, the plan seems to be on a 3 to 5 years. Should i be concern right now about my strategy, at first i was, but needless to say, this is part of what we do, we got some fear in the market and this is going to bring some volatily back. What I am considering is starting to use options to protect and collect some cash while my strategy plays out. Other things to considered, vix is back over 20, and there was a huge trade on the 32.5 march call. that could be a way of protecting by buying vix calls, take advantage of the volatily. on the other side, we got a huge opportunity to get on the Berkshire wagon, with the split today coming at 70, that is a huge opportunity to get your hands on a company that keeps outpacing the markets.
Tomorrow, I will come with the options strategy, for those of you that are holding banks in your portfolio.
