Holding Rationale for CYOU.
I had a busy weekend as I departed right after the closing bell on Friday to head out to watch my daughter play in the Western Canada Volleyball Championships. It was 3 days of getting up early and spending all day at the event, and I am utterly spent. I didn’t really get much in the way of market research done, but here’s some of what I’m noticing.
The market is at a point where I believe it’s not safe to be to much invested on either side of the trade right now. It’s best to keep to short term trades, or even day trades would be my preferred vehicle of investment right now. Momentum stocks seem to be acting poorly (SNDA, LFT, CYOU), which could be a sign this market is getting tired. I noticed some massive volume in the financials (GNW FITB MS OCN) which could be indicating a blow off top is occurring. Since this has been one of the sectors that has been leading this advance, it will most likely be the one that leads it back down to the downside.
Many stocks in general are approaching their 200 day ma, and it would seem plausible for the markets to rest after the Nasdaq has been up 9 weeks in a row. And don’t think I haven’t noticed that gold has been steadily rising, potentially indicating that investors are looking for some safety as the markets are extremely overbought.
